Creating Safer Communities Through Awareness and Action
At Sexual Assault Services, we believe that prevention starts with education. By increasing awareness, promoting respect, and challenging harmful attitudes, we can stop sexual violence before it happens. Together, we can build communities rooted in safety, equality, and compassion.
What Prevention Means
Prevention is more than awareness — it’s action. It means equipping individuals and communities with the knowledge and tools to recognize, stop, and prevent sexual violence.
Through education, conversation, and community involvement, we can:
-
Promote consent, communication, and healthy relationships
-
Encourage bystander intervention and community responsibility
-
Challenge harmful stereotypes and victim-blaming attitudes
-
Create spaces where everyone feels safe and respected
